As an AMO Cable Technician, you will play a critical role in the dismantling, repair, and reassembly of various oil field tools, ensuring they are prepared for the next mission. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections to detect potential issues and performing precise repairs to maintain operational readiness.
A key part of the role involves executing all necessary maintenance tasks, conducting performance tests, and assembling cables and motor conductors according to operational requirements. You will need to follow pre-established work practices meticulously, ensuring alignment with the company’s standards and industry regulations.
In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for identifying non-compliant cables, making the necessary modifications and repairs to restore functionality and prevent future issues.
Collaboration is crucial, as you will also provide coaching and technical support to fellow technicians, sharing your expertise in areas where you have demonstrated proficiency.
You will be assigned to essential category projects based on the company’s needs, contributing to the execution of specialized tasks.
